2 PEOPLE DIRECTING THE PARTICIPANT FROM THE SWIM TO THE TRANSITION AREA AND DIRECTING THE PARTICIPANTS TO THE START OF THE RUN COURSE (On shore) 6:30-9:00am: Help with swim Finish and the start of the run course; we have volunteers who direct the participants in the appropriate direction. Volunteers are asked to also keep spectators out of the way during the race. This position is done once the last cyclists leave the transition area to start the run portion.

1 PERSON AT THE TURNAROUND ON THE RUN COURSE: Be in position by 7:30AM: Please see map on the 5k turnaround pt.

2 PEOPLE AT REFRESHMENTS AND SWIMMING POOL FILLED WITH BOTTLED WATER AND GATORADES AT THE FINISH LINE: THIS POSITION MUST BE MALE: 6:15-11AM: Help set-up refreshments Area; help clean-up the refreshments area and maintain the small pool with bottled water and Bottled Gatorades at the finish area. 4 PEOPLE AT TRANSITION AREA: 5AM: The transition area is fenced in area containing all the bike racks. This area sees action the entire time. Before the event transition area volunteers are provided with clipboards that contain a variety of frequently asked questions. Volunteers will be stationed at the two entrances to the transition area. They will be asked to keep spectators out of the transition area. The transition area is for participants only. The volunteers will be answering basic questions from participants using these clipboards (Where is registration? Where are the Port-a-lets? Etc.

4 PEOPLE HELPING WITH THE TIMING AREA: 5AM please see Set-up events staff: Duties:
Hand out chips and Ankle straps in the morning FROM 5AM-7AM
Cut deposable ankle bracelets when participants cross the finish line FROM 7:50AM-LAST PARTICIPANTS
Return ankle straps and chips back to the table FROM 7:50AM-LAST FINISHER
Towels to participants
Medals to all finishers
